Group chairpeople or staff members often have trouble scheduling meetings because they can never find a suitable time when enough of their members are available to establish a quorum for the meeting.
LORROS can make this much less of a problem. To hold a LORROS meeting, it is not necessary that all members be available at the same time. Lorros meetings are scheduled to last for a day or more and the members can join the meeting at any time during that period and they can join as often as they wish.
Even when they have not signed in, they are not out of the loop because all comments made during the meeting are emailed to all members as soon as they are posted.
